by Julian of Norwich
Revelations of Divine Love is a series of devotions written by fourteenth century Christian mystic Julian of Norwich. When she was thirty years old, Julian suffered a serious, seemingly terminal illness. During her suffering, she received a series of sixteen visions focusing on the Passion of Jesus, and on the Virgin Mary. Although close to death, she experienced a miraculous recovery. Years later, she wrote the visions down in Divine Love.
For the project, I will read the 1901 English translation by Grace Warrack. I obtained an electronic copy of this text, which is 200 pages in length.
